Bear Food Storage Orders |
The Shoshone National Forest and the Bridger-Teton National Forest now have bear food storage orders in effect (you can be fined if you don't). All users of the forest must store food in a specific manner which is approved by the USFS. You must hang all food 10 feet from the ground in trees when available OR store food in approved bear resistant canisters. These food storage orders are not in effect in the southern Shoshone National Forest and the Popo Agie Wilderness. You will need to review the specifics in the Bear Food Storage Orders and the Food Storage "How To" below. |
